pattern issues on Illustrator Solved

Hello,

I'm starting to use Illustrator.
I can't change the attributes of the patterns (like enlarging, reducing, rotating) without modifying my base shape.
I'm drawing clothing and I want to be able to work on my patterns.
Do you have a solution??

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

The simplest way remains in "Object>Transform>Scale" and there in the options, you choose: shape/pattern or both! In your case, you check patterns and uncheck shape, and you adjust the scale: 50% for example!

Hello,
To enlarge or reduce, you need to hold down SHIFT while you resize your shape using the black arrow. Otherwise, select your shape and go to the tool palette to select the transformation you want to perform, and there you can set your transformation parameters.

Apparently, this option exists for English keyboards.
I read that by holding the "tilde" (I don't have it on my keyboard, it's the upper bar of the Spanish N that you find in niño), you could transform the pattern without affecting the shape...

But I still haven't been able to do it with my French keyboard...
