Hello,

Do you know what this error message means when I try to access Picasa3:

C BlockFile: Restore err =2, thumbs - index db

This morning, when I go to Picasa 3, I arrive at a page where all my photos have disappeared and I get this message; I restart my PC: same maneuver, still this same message but suddenly all my photos slowly reload.

This afternoon, it's impossible to go back: the same message reappears, but this time, I can't access Picasa ...

What can I do? What's happening?
Thank you for your help.

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

    Thank you for your help.

I followed your advice: I uninstalled Picasa and went to rebuild my database by downloading Picasa 3 again.

Unfortunately, my problem persists, still the same error message when I try to go to Picasa3:

C BlockFile: Restore err =2, thumbs - index db?

    And this one in English:

"there were errors loading the Picasa database. Would you like to view the error log. Yes or no?"

I click on "Yes" and I get these lines that I don’t understand... Here they are:

    C:\Documents and Settings\OWNER\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\db3\albumdata_filename.pmp,ytFileUtils=326,err=3,errno=2,oserr=0

    C:\Documents and Settings\OWNER\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\db3\facetemplatesV2_index.db,ytFileUtils=326,err=3,errno=2,oserr=0

    What should I do now?

Thank you again for your help.

Even after removing Picasa and reloading, the problem persists - you need to go into the Windows database and delete the indicated error files - everything works (but the photos need to be reloaded afterward) - solution seen on the forum with no more explanation than "delete corrupted files."

    Hello,
Uninstall Picasa and then reinstall it.

      Hello,
      same problem and resolved quickly
it's useless - you need to delete the corrupted files in the Windows database (under Picasa)

    Hello,

Try another browser for example Chrome. Remove Picasa 3

    With Google Chrome download Picasa.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
