Hello,
I have a DX-AM LA450 amplifier, a JVC KD-R721BT car radio, and O² (oxygen) speakers installed on the rear shelf of my car.
Basically, I have 2 problems:

- First, my remote isn't working properly. Let me explain: as you should know, the remote is designed to cut off the power to the amplifier once the ignition is turned off, but it doesn't! I've connected it properly to the remote slot of my car radio and to the REM slot of my amplifier, and it gets power when the ignition is on, but once the ignition is off, the power doesn't cut. My amplifier stays on. Why doesn't the power cut off when I'm connected to the right slots and my remote wire from the car radio is properly connected to the ISO and isn't cut?

- My second problem is that my speakers don't produce any sound once connected. I've checked with a tester to see if there's any power coming out of the speaker connection terminals on the amplifier, and there's nothing; this might be normal (I don't know...). I've tried all possible connections for the RCA cable and the speaker terminals, and nothing... it doesn't work... Can you shed some light on this?

For your information: all my equipment is new and none of the wires are cut. I'm posting here because I haven't found any answers to my questions online.

Thank you for your clear and precise answers (I'm a mechanic, but very very bad at electricity.... too bad for me ;) )

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

Just one more thing, are you sure that on the black ISO connector (power), the permanent + and the switched + are not reversed? It can still happen, even though everything is standardized, you never know.
No problems, only... solutions!!!

Please remember to mark as resolved if you consider your issue to be resolved, thank you.
