Viewing Windows Movie Maker file on TV

Good evening,
if your DVD player reads DIVX, it's simple
just save your video project (from Movie Maker) directly as .avi
no need to use another software to convert!
you can then burn it onto a DVDR or DVDRW and watch it on your television.
I did it and it works very well.
as for sending them by email, indeed, the size is limited to 10 MB so it's impossible. however, you can send them via instant messaging (like MSN) and it works. same here, I did it and had no problems!

1-- Movie Maker files are unreadable on home players!! As I suppose that's what you want to do??
2-- If the player reads Divx (often, to be checked), you can convert your .wmv to .avi with Stoik Video Converter, free on stoik.com
3-- If it's not Divx compatible, you'll need to make MPEGs or VCDs or SVCDs; there are converters available, but I can't give you a link off the top of my head, or you can use Magix's software "Photo on CD and DVD" for about 50 euros in supermarkets
4-- For emails, keep in mind that they are often limited to 10 MB, so 20 minutes is impossible or of poor quality.
5-- Open your personal space that your provider offers (from 100 MB to 1 GB) and upload your films there with FileZilla, free, and give the link to your friends; it's the simplest way.

I want to send a 30-second mini video by email. I was able to do this very well a little while ago, but now it's not working at all. I get a message saying
"wmm cannot save the video to the specified location. Please check that the original source files used in the video and the save location are still available, and that there is enough disk space."
Could someone please shed some light on this for me?
I've been tinkering and going in circles for a while and nothing at all...

I just finished a photo slideshow on Windows Movie Maker, but I can't seem to burn it. I'm not very good with computers, but from what I understand, it's the format that needs to be changed. I'm willing to do that, but I don't know anything about it!! You said I need to change the format to AVI, but how do I do that? Do I need to download software? Hi everyone, I have a problem. I have videos from my camera, and these videos are cut into sequences. I made a video montage by grouping all the sequences in Movie Maker, but the problem is that I can't save them in DAT or AVI format and start the burning process to watch them on TV. I don't know how to do it, and if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. It's urgent, plus I can't afford to buy software right now.

So I found another solution because in Movie Maker, I couldn't figure out how to burn in AVI onto DVD
So let me explain:
1. Create what you want in Movie Maker, then on the left, there's "Video Tasks," scroll down and click at the bottom on "3. Finish Movie," click on "Save to my computer" and follow the instructions.

2. Then go to Nero Vision, then click on "Create a DVD" or if you want to create a CD, "Create a CD," a window opens and you just have to follow the instructions.

And that's it.
I tested it and it works super well on my standalone DVD player

I'm not skilled in this area, but it's simple, proof that I managed to do it after a month of research on this topic!!! Yes, yes, a month!!!

Now, I still need to find out how to do it with a .PPS (PowerPoint) file, but that's not going to be easy!!! If someone has the solution, I'd be interested, what interests me with PowerPoint is that you can add texts on the photo however you want. I've tried various software, especially Presentation to Video Converter, which is really good but the problem is that it's a trial version and when you play it on the standalone player, you have the logo all along the CD, not exactly ideal!!!

Hi, I made a video (music, photos, and effects) using Windows Movie Maker. I want to transfer it to my DivX player (in the living room). I'm trying to convert it to AVI using the options - save to my computer... choosing the AVI video format. Everything is going well, but it's lagging a lot. The video is 13 minutes long in total, and it supposedly takes 700 minutes! The more it lags, the further the cursor moves in the time as the video is being recorded at 29%. I have Vista and an Acer 5310. Can someone help me? Thanks.
