Good evening, when I use the DVD copying software "Shrink" I get a
a folder and when I click on it to read it, it opens and shows me the vob, bup, ifo files, etc... but it does not open the player (Windows or otherwise). What should I do? Thank you for your insights.

Hello, I wanted to know if it is possible to convert BUP, IFO, VOB files to AVI or MP4 files please? Thank you for your responses.
Hello,
Do you have PowerDVD? Then it's really simple.
In the "Select Source" menu, you need to click on the option "Open a DVD file on the hard drive."
In the window that opens, look for the VIDEO_TS folder containing the vob files and associated files.
Right-click on this folder, then click "OK."
Everything will then proceed as if you had just inserted a DVD-video into your physical drive.
If the file structure in your VIDEO_TS folder is not corrupted, there should be no problem, at least if the source DVD is not protected.

Hello!
Actually, I was looking at the responses regarding BUP FILES etc... I'm not really used to navigating this site and I still posted a question about the same issue, but I don’t even remember where I posted it or if there have been any responses, that's why I took the liberty of writing to you directly...
Actually, I downloaded WinDVD but it still doesn't work... DO I HAVE TO HAVE Power DVD??
Thanks in advance for your help...

Hello, thank you very much for this initial explanation. I would like to clarify: I am looking for my file with Explorer. Wind. I get a folder with the video TS audio TS files. I open it. So it's divided into vob bup etc. So I can indeed play it with pow.DVD or others, but only piece by piece; I can't play it all with Real Player or Wind. Media, for example, and if I right-click on the icon that contains this video TS audio TS folder, I do not get "open with". That's my little problem. Thanks again in advance for the next tips.

Hello,
And which application do you click on? Windows Explorer?
If that's the case, it's normal. You need to use a program capable of opening a DVD-Video directory to read it, as if it were a physical DVD.
For example, Cyberlink's PowerDVD does this very well. Note that....DVD Shrink also does it!

the best way to read a vob, bup, ifo file... is to use Nero Showtime. it works automatically and there's no hassle for video encodings with Shrink!!

Good evening,
I actually want to do the opposite of DVD Shrink.
I have .vob, .ifo, and .bup files, and I would like to burn them back as a DVD video to play on a standalone DVD player.
Is it possible? If so, how? Thank you.

Good evening!
Yes, I know! In fact, I noticed that I had to rename the .Vob files because they were named DVDVTS_nn_m.Vob instead of VTS_nn_m.vob
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi, I don't know WinDVD but with PowerDVD that you can download here: https://www.01net.com/telecharger/windows/Multimedia/lecteurs_video_dvd/fiches/18650.html
It works perfectly, you just need to open "menu" then go choose the VOB folder and open it in PowerDVD.
But maybe there's a trick in WinDVD that I don't know.
See you and good luck.
