What week does week 32 correspond to in the United States?

    Hello,

    Toto's question is not stupid... and it's not that simple...

    According to the American standard, week 1 is the first week whether it is complete or not.
    For the European standard, week 1 is the first week that has at least 4 days... It must start on a Thursday or later.

    Moreover, an American week starts on a Sunday, whereas the European week starts on a Monday.

    As a result, for this year 2012, where January 1st is a Sunday:
    - January 1st is in week 1 in the United States,
    - January 1st is in week 52 for Europe, and the first European week starts on January 2nd.

    Therefore, indeed for this year, it aligns... but it's not the case every year. For example, in 2010 there was a one-week difference.

      I would like to add to all this, since this is the office forum, that Excel, of course, only recognizes American dates! We can complain all we want, but Microsoft doesn't hear us! ;)
      We can simply choose between Monday or Sunday as the first day of the week.

      But if I follow your reasoning, there is also a discrepancy in 2012, since January 2 is week 2 in the States and week 1 in Europe.
