Loss of a modified attachment in Outlook

Hello,
I opened a Word document that was attached to an email.
I opened it.
I modified it.
I saved it by simply clicking "save" instead of "save as." Thus, Outlook saved my document in a default location.
This location is generally in the "temporary internet files" folder.
Unfortunately, I can't find my modified document, only the initial version.
This has happened to me before, and I eventually found it, but not this time.
If anyone has an idea, it's really urgent!
Thank you,
Michelle.

I faced this problem today.
I couldn't find my attachment - open in Outlook - that I had modified.
So, I found a simple solution:
I opened another attachment to an email in Outlook.
Then, I clicked on "file" and "open," and there appeared the folder OLKE 1C8, which contained the attachments I had opened and modified, including my precious document.
I then simply clicked on my document to open it and saved it in the folder that suited me.
(However, when I looked at the "path" taken to get to OLKE 1C8, the folder where they are saved, I couldn't do it again in Explorer... I must not be very skilled...)

no, it’s normal that the temporary Outlook folder containing attachments is a hidden system folder.
So it’s normal not to find it in Explorer, the only solution is to type the path directly, but the folder names are random...
Good luck.
