Hello everyone
I want to burn a CD-ROM with sensitive data. For this, I was wondering if there is a way to protect it with a password or something equivalent so that no one (except me, of course!) can read the data stored on it.
Does anyone know a way?
Thanks in advance!!

Hey there!
If you find a solution here or there, get it patented quickly, because I believe the big music and movie companies will be very interested!
The only thing I know of at the moment is to keep your CD in a place that's accessible only to you (safe, drawer, box, etc...)

Hello,
the only solution that comes to mind right now is to use a cryptology software like "sam".
In reality, it is the document that will be encrypted, not the access to the medium.
111 111 111 x 111 111 111 = 12345678987654321

Ah.
Well, yes. That's true.
I hadn't seen it that way.
Sorry .... :-(
I'll try to read the question correctly next time ...

I was like you back in the day, I searched a lot for a way to put a password on a CD-ROM and finally I found a software called "Steganos Security Suite 7" that really solved all my problems. Here's how it works:
You can choose a password and then when you want to burn a CD, you put all the things you want to burn with a password into a thing called vault. After a few seconds, the things turn into encrypted files, so you burn the encrypted files and after burning, if you want to see them, you insert the CD and then it asks for the password. You type your password and then in the "My Computer" section, a new virtual CD drive appears and in there you will find your unencrypted data.
When you're done, just close it. And there you go, the data is encrypted on the CD and when you type in the password it looks normal, that's cool, right?
See you, good luck!

The big music industries want the information to be available to you but for you not to be able to copy it, and that's where the impossibility lies...
