Uh hello everyone, I come here regarding this scam knowing from the get-go that it is one!
Bonotour something tells me that I've won the big prize, which is a DS3 where I could choose the colors :D ahahah
Do you think it's possible, on the principle of such an announcement (you have won...), to take them to court in order to get this (damn) super cool DS3?

I have no concrete evidence!! I received a private call this afternoon and the woman told me that I was selected for the draw of a Mercedes and aldaniti.net offered me grids at €39.92 for the EuroMillions. In short, I fell into the trap, yet I am usually very cautious.............
I have filed a complaint with my bank, but they cannot block the transaction of €39.92 that has been made.

delete your account from the site. And change your credit card. What's lost is lost, so let's not lose any more!

Hello Lilou, so here's the procedure to follow:

1 - Go see your banker and block your card
2 - Get a new one!
3 - Go to the nearest police station
4 - File a small report
5 - And that's it, then I believe that since you paid, your bank won't want to reimburse you the €39.... So try to tell them it wasn't you... ^^

So, having made the mistake just like Lilou Dallas and realizing the scam within 7 days of entering my credit card numbers on their site, I simply sent them an email immediately asking them to delete my account as soon as possible and requested the cancellation of the ongoing charge of €39.92, being within my right of withdrawal. (I also prepared a letter just in case). Response by email the next day telling me that everything would be done according to my requests. Two days later the charge is made, three days later it is refunded to me. More fear than harm

I think they are within their rights too, but... it’s pure and simple trickery authorized by the State.

I just stumbled upon their new scam, the free or cost-priced hotel nights Bonotour! I don't feel like looking into the why and how, so I'm just going to click on the little cross for once :D

I received an invitation to participate in a draw to win a DS3. I don’t really believe in luck to win anything, but from time to time I fill out games like that (that said, throughout the validation process, you are asked to click on "partner" ads which must certainly bring in money for the organizer, and just that...)
Then the next day, I received an email from "Bonotour" telling me that thanks to my participation, I won a voucher that entitles me to FREE holidays (awesome!!!). Yes, but since it is sent from Spain, I just need to pay the shipping costs of €9.95... What??? How come??? They’re giving me €180 worth of holidays and they’re nitpicking about sending my prize for €9.95 in fees? Pfffff

Anyway, think of me as a fool...

Some details regarding what I've read here.
Unless I'm mistaken, it’s already a game, not an online purchase. Technically, you haven’t made a “purchase,” the withdrawal period doesn’t apply since the company organizing it is the Spanish branch for which French law does not apply.
Then, when it comes to online payment, if you realize it’s a scam, never call your banker to say "I paid for something before realizing it was a scam."
In banking rules, the rule is simple. If you dispute a debit, the bank must refund you any payment made online provided you still have your card with you and it was charged from the information on it (card number, expiration date, cryptogram) but without using the secret code.
In practice, this is only applicable if you did not yourself make this transaction, but in this case of fraud, you could "bypass" this provision, provided you “conceal” the truth a bit.
First, you need to file a report for fraudulent use of your card at the police station or gendarmerie.
Then go to your bank to report the fraudulent use by presenting your bank card.
Of course, if you called your banker beforehand to tell them you had been scammed and that you paid with your card, there’s no point in following this procedure, it wouldn’t yield anything and could even get you into trouble.
Otherwise, for small amounts, there won’t be an investigation, and you should be reimbursed within a few days.

Another scam from this company is currently ongoing. €1500 in Leclerc gift vouchers to win. This scam is on the Meteo Ciel website. I took screenshots of the advertisement on Meteo Ciel, then after clicking on the link, of the questionnaire page and the conditions. I also copied their data privacy policy.
Another important thing, since the site is not in France, they say that UK law applies. Moreover, the reference to the personal data protection law is not that of the new GDPR from 2018.
I don’t know if it’s legal since it’s still on a French site and their so-called gift voucher would be valid at a French retailer, Leclerc.
By the way, I plan to provide the information I have collected to the Leclerc store in my town.
