Epson SX235W Printer Installation

Question

Hi,

So here it is, I have two computers:
- A small Aspire One that doesn't take CDs
- A desktop computer
Both PCs have Windows 7

I have a new printer which is the Epson Stylus SX235W series and I can't install this printer on either computer!!! I've searched everywhere and I can't find anything!!!!
I would like someone to help me please. It's very urgent and very important, so if you could help me as soon as possible, I would really appreciate it!

If you have a neuf box, it's normal that you can't set it up the first time. I'm in the business and it took me an hour because the default settings of the neuf box block the printers. You need to go to the settings of your neuf box (open a web page and type 192.168.1.1 instead of the address http://www.google.fr for example). Go to the Wi-Fi tab, then to security, and you need to enable 'encryption' and click on 'launch' at the bottom of the page.

Note the code that the neuf box will give you; you will need it when restarting your PC or your box. You will only enter it once and it will work...

Hi  "It doesn't work" doesn't mean anything.  What are you doing exactly and what happens? Error message?  Which exact Windows Seven?  How are you connecting it? USB? Wifi?

I just bought an Epson SX235W, but I'm having trouble with its installation.
I followed the steps in the manual and the installation CD, but at one point it asks whether to choose a Wi-Fi or cable connection. I selected Wi-Fi, and it asks if it's a first installation or adding a new computer. -> First installation, okay. But error, it couldn't connect even though my computer is right next to it, etc. During the first three attempts, it took 10 minutes to search, then it stopped making an effort to search and gave up right away...
Since I urgently need to print, I go back and install the wired connection. Everything is fine, I managed to print, but I can't find any option to install Wi-Fi.
I reinstalled the driver from the CD (without uninstalling the ones I had just installed), to be able to reach the Wi-Fi/cable choice, but at this stage, it automatically asks me to plug in the cable...
Is there a way to enable the Wi-Fi on this f*cking printer or do I need to take it to the FNAC's service center and have them keep it for a month?

I just bought an EPSON Stylus SX235W.
I can't install it via the cable (plugged in, of course, at the moment of the call): the CD is hopelessly lagging, while Windows tells me: device not recognized...
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, but it's impossible...

Apparently, the printer would work over Wi-Fi, but it's impossible to use the scanner over Wi-Fi?? I previously had a Brother printer with Wi-Fi and never had any issues... Could there be driver problems with Seiko?

For my part... I encountered problems installing my Epson SX235W via Wi-Fi.

But in the end, simplicity prevails.

When the installation software prompted me to choose between Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable, I pressed the WPS button on my Sagem LiveBox, then activated the Wi-Fi search button on the front of the printer (pressed for a bit more than 4 seconds), and finally selected Wi-Fi in the installation software, then followed the prompts all the way through. The problems I had encountered completely disappeared, and my printer works perfectly on the Wi-Fi network. There you go.

I encountered the same problem. In fact, when you turn on the printer for the first time, it is essential that the power light on the printer is a solid green and not blinking.
At first, mine was blinking because the cartridges were misaligned. After correctly repositioning them several times, the light turned solid green, and then I followed the Wi-Fi connection procedure, and everything went smoothly.

Hi,

Make sure to select the SX235W printer in the installation software. You have several icons, including SX230 series first, but if you select that one, it won't work.

The correct one is a line below on the right.

Here’s how I reinstall my SX235W printer after reinstalling my Livebox

1 - Press and hold the info button on the printer (located just to the right of the Wi-Fi button)

The printer will output a Wi-Fi settings sheet where you will find the WPS Pin code that allows the printer to connect to the router

2 - Open a web page and go to this address 192.168.1.1, you will access the configuration settings of your Livebox

3 - Go to my WIFI then Advanced Wi-Fi

4 - Enter the WPS pin code in the appropriate box

5 - Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer for 4 seconds; it will blink red/green alternately

6 - On Mac, go to System Preferences / Printers / + Add a device

You should see the Epson SX235W appear in the list

There you go, your printer is set up for Wi-Fi
