Hello,
I have a little problem with my Sims 3 Pets.
After installing it yesterday, I was able to play normally until just now when suddenly the image froze for a few seconds and then restarted. Basically, the image freezes every 30 seconds for about ten seconds. Knowing that while the screen is stopped, the game continues to run somewhat (the trees move etc...) but my Sims do not.
Do you have a solution?
Thank you in advance!!

You need to lower your game settings in the options - graphics
I had this problem because my computer was overheating, but since I reduced everything, it works perfectly
I hope I was able to help you -
It may be due to your configuration.
But when you say "I was able to play normally until just now," what does that mean? 1 hour? 2 hours? -
It might be too early, but Electronic Arts might soon offer a patch for download that will fix the bug issues...

I have the same problem as you, except mine is with The Sims: City Living. I've never had an issue except when I installed the expansions... Is it a problem with the graphics being too high? I have defragmented, cleaned, and lightened the hard drive, but nothing works... Yet I played for two days before the problems started! Are the graphics too high? I think I'm going to uninstall and reinstall the game; I'll give you an update afterward!

Yeah, I found the solution!! For me at least :S I simply deleted one part (I had three) and now there are no bugs... My partner had no trouble with the game (2nd part created) and I created my part first, I deduced that it was the number of parts!! But be careful, I deleted the city living part (last created), so the first two were in the original Sims 3 city... Is it the expansion? Or just the number of parts created? Knowing that only my part on the original Sims 3 had a bug and not the city living one, I don't know haha -.- Try it and let me know!

I have the same problem as you and I inquired: apparently it's because of the downloads of furniture and clothes... In this case, you will need to reinstall everything...
Good luck to everyone :) -
Hello,
just for your information and to perhaps complete the "situation", I have the same bug as described:
the game freezes constantly while elements like shadows, the "zzzz" etc. continue to move... the game works for about 5 seconds and then freezes for 5 to 30 seconds... let's just say it's impossible to play XD
however, I only have the original Sims 3, no add-ons, no downloads, just the basic game... my machine is recent and I've already played it before without this bug (both at its release and a few months ago and now for a few weeks without any issues), and I've only had the problem since yesterday or the day before, anyway I think it's the last game update that's to blame, and I'm despairing at the thought that I'll have to wait for another update to be able to play....
my current version: 1.26.89.013002
Have a good evening-
Hello everyone,
I have exactly the same problem as you. I bought The Sims: Pets and on my old PC that could barely handle the base game of The Sims 3, it was impossible to play, way too slow. I then installed everything on my laptop which has almost empty memory, I struggled to get the game started, I had to uninstall Origin, and was unable to reinstall it, so my game was running without Origin. Is that okay?
I played for over a week for about 2 hours a day and everything was working perfectly, the game was very fast, very enjoyable. And all of a sudden, two days ago, it started freezing every 30 seconds, exactly like you, with the ZZzzz and the leaves continuing to move, but I couldn’t press any buttons, everything was frozen. It restarts after 30 seconds, only to freeze again. I noticed this change when a fire broke out in the house and two of my sims almost died.
I then thought about reinstalling the game, trying to configure it with Origin, and saving my game files to insert them into my future reinstallation. Do you think that's a good idea or would the files carry this "virus"?
Thank you for your answers!

Hello,
I had the same problem: the Sims and the mouse were stuck, only the time, the "zzz" of snoring, and the surrounding noises continued to run. I found a solution!
I went into "modify my town" and expelled my family with a save of the house and saved them in the library common to all neighborhoods. Then I returned to the main menu, created a new game, and placed my family and their house on a free lot. The only downside is that the neighborhood progression went back to the beginning, but it's fine for me. I only had the chance to try it once, but I hope it continues when I play again...
Good luck!

No one has any ideas?

To clarify, I want to point out that the image only freezes during live mode, neither in pause, purchase mode, nor build mode. Only when the Sims are active. And even when the image freezes, animations such as the ZZZ of sleep or the rustling leaves are visible.
Is it an installation problem? -
Okay, I'm waiting for the news to see if that's it. I tried with the graphics set to the lowest, but it didn't change anything.
I also defragmented and emptied my disk, but that didn't change anything. -
Sorry, this message is off-topic, but are the Sims 3 animal expansions good? Is it worth buying?

I use "tu" with internet users for easier dialogue, but if that bothers you, consider "tu" as "vous" ^^-
Well, I think it's pretty good. For those who love horses, it's great ^^. As for the rest, I haven't had the time to test it yet because of this bug.
I even wondered if the bug was related to the addition of a new character (I had just gotten a foal) but I put it up for adoption and the bug is still there.

I have the same problem except that my image doesn't restart and my computer crashes only when I see a horse, when I want to create one or when I want to adopt one.
It's relatively annoying :/ -
I have the same issue as you... I thought it was my graphics card that had become too weak. But the PC is just a little over a year old and was built mainly for gaming. I went to a knowledgeable vendor... he said it’s a problem with the game itself. He told me to download all the patches, but it doesn’t change anything. I have to wait for EA to release a new patch.
In terms of the game, I was on a lot with a sim, a horse, a dog, and a large house I built myself, but it became unplayable. The only thing I did was start over with a new sim, on a smaller lot with a pre-built house from the base game. For now, it works, and I can play normally. But in my opinion, when my sim has the means and expands... I will probably have this problem again. -
Hello everyone, I have the same problem even though I haven't had my computer for long!
-
Same problem for my girlfriend!
Yet I updated my graphics cards, I set the game's graphics quality to the lowest, etc...
It's worth noting that this happens only in one of her two saves (the bigger one with 4 Sims 2 Pets).
She moved and cleared the inventory, but nothing works; it still bugs. Windows returns don't save anything. I think I'm going to reinstall while keeping the saves aside. I'll keep you posted throughout the day. -
Hello DK WKHTP, I had the same problem for a week and I had just destroyed one of my families that was in the same city. That family didn't have this problem, but when I destroyed it, the family I wanted is functioning properly now!

I have the same problem since I updated the game last week. It’s very frustrating to be stuck!
