Time freezes in The Sims 2!

But when you switch between different speed modes, does time pass?
If that's the case, it's annoying... it means the game is bugging **what deduction I make -__-' **
What you can do is delete one of the families and create another one for them to live in the same place to see if it still bugs. If so, well, that's unfortunate, you'll need to try to fix it...

So before, follow my instructions to see where the bug really comes from.

1/ Move your family without destroying the house.

2/ Create another family and move them into the house of your bugged family. Once the family is settled, check if the bug is still there. If yes, move this family out and destroy the house; if not, I will tell you how to check if it’s your family that has the bug.

To do this, move your first bugged family to a new lot, check if the bug is there; if not, follow the small three; if your bug is still there, it means it’s coming from your family.

3/ Once the house is destroyed, move your family onto the empty lot; if they no longer bug, it was simply your house, rebuild it. If they still bug, it means it’s coming from the lot, in that case, demolish it.

4/ If despite everything your bug persists, reinstall your game; don’t worry, you won’t lose everything you’ve done, there’s a simple way to back up your game, copy the “EA Games” folder from “My Documents” somewhere else, and then you can paste it back into the same place when your game is reinstalled.

Okay, thank you! :) But I tried to move the family. So far, no problem. Then I rearranged the family on the lot and the bug came back. So I conclude that it’s the lot... Thank you very much!

No, it doesn't change anything... I moved the family, since I moved it to another land but time still stands still!

I have the same problem as you! I don't want to move the family because the first time it happened to me, the bugged sim disappeared... I saw on the official Sims forum that you need to use move_objects on and delete the bugged sims, then save and exit and come back to the house. I don't know if it works and I'm scared to try lol ^^

I moved the Sims, but 2 seconds later they froze. I deleted them, and it worked better but slowly, so I had the family move. Luckily, no one disappeared! Everything is working wonderfully.

So if I understand correctly, I delete the Sims that are glitching with move_objects on and then I move the family? Did it work for you xagony?

Hello everyone!

It's my turn to post! I have exactly the same problem as you! However, I can't delete my sims with move_object because they're all at work and school!
Basically, everything is fine in the game except that time is stuck at 11:39.
I spent weeks creating my perfect house and leveling up my sims, so it breaks my heart to delete them, you know?!

Any idea for a solution? :D

Ahhh, the joy of virtual life...

I'm trying to move another family into the house, but I don't think it will change much...
