Hello,
I have a Philips DCM 580 station and an iPod touch 4. Since I installed the new version on my iPod, I can no longer connect it to my station. It detects the iPod and then disconnects it immediately. Impossible to listen to music! I have 2 other Sony and Bose stations, and this problem doesn’t occur. I have another iPod touch for which I have not yet installed the new version, and it works fine there. Has anyone had the same issue? What is the solution? Thanks for your help.

    This is nonsense with your so-called engineers who are working on the update! It’s been more than six months and still no progress, you scoundrel! Given the price, it’s a scam, we don’t upgrade devices every year because of your incompetence! And on top of that, from the comments you don’t hesitate to push people away, buy French it’s expensive and you’ve got it in the nose, let’s go back to the good old “Made in Taiwan” at least it lasts and isn’t expensive!

      It's July 2015 and I want to post a reply for those who can't get the Phillips tower to work
      1 / if you want to turn off the blue halo you press the + button for 5 seconds and the lighting goes out
      2/ your new iPhone no longer works you search the net for the Phillips microprogram for the tower dm 580 you unzip it on your PC then you paste it onto a USB drive and after you put it in your tower which will download the microprogram
      Then you come back here and say thank you

        Hello, I tried the trick but nothing works. My column still shows blue light and there is no display on the home screen. Is there another solution because I’m fed up!

      Hello I had exactly the same problem. After the update, my DCM 580 is now completely blocked. Nothing is displayed on the screen, there is only a bluish halo + the blue LED of the CD reader.
      I've tried removing and restoring the power but nothing helps...
      Can you help me please, I’m desperate?

      were you able to fix your problem because I have the same and after calling Philips they dismissed me without even trying to give me an explanation or find a solution since the warranty has passed in 1 month.

      Same problem for me! I tried to cut the power but when I plug it back in nothing happens—the station is stuck and nothing is displayed... What should I do please! My grant is over the limit! This price for this! I am disheartened

    Hello,

    The problem is solved now
    you need to download the patch from Phillips' website in the "update" section.

    What he doesn't mention, however, is that the operation must be done using a PC only, because on Mac the tower does not recognize the file.

    Very quick operation and the update lasts only a few seconds.

    For your information, we have indeed identified this issue with iOS5 on Philips brand DockStations, and our engineers are working on a software update to resolve the problem.

    This update should be ready soon, but it will take longer to release, as Apple certification will be required.

    I therefore invite you to stay informed about updates for your product; the next update that will be released should, normally, be able to resolve the issue.

    Hello,

    I have just noticed that my iPhone 4 no longer works with my Phillips TV/receiver. I’m a bit disappointed because given the price I paid, we shouldn’t have this kind of trouble!!!!

    I would therefore like to know when the update for the device/receiver will be available??

    I also have the Phillips DMC580 tower and recently an iPod touch 4.
    This last one apparently is not recognized by the tower; when I start a song from the iPod, it starts but the sound only comes out of the iPod and for only 2 seconds.
    Please provide a solution because the choice of these two devices to listen to music ultimately leaves me wanting.

    Hello,

    I downloaded the Philips site update onto a USB key, I followed the instructions but my tower still makes no sound when I connect my iPhone 4 !!!!
    Since this ios5 update, I can no longer listen to music on my tower.
    For the price I paid for my tower, it's a shame!!!!
    Could you please give me the precise solution, please thank you in advance
