Restoring with .gho files

Hello
not mastering computer tools perfectly, I need advice on how to restore using a CD (created by the assembler of my PC) containing *gho files
I do not own Norton Ghost software so I wonder what the method is to restore my PC?
- is it necessary to install Norton Ghost?
- is there a simple method for this restoration?

    Hello,
    If you have a ghost file, you need Norton to restore the PC.
    Be careful, since Norton 2005 files are "v2i" but ghost 2005 remains compatible with "gho"; it simply loads an older version of Norton.
