Playstation 3 what is the difference between the DualShock 3 and Sixaxis controllers?

Dual Shock = Sixaxis + Vibrations.

The Sixaxis controllers do not vibrate; they only have motion recognition... They are no longer produced except in promotional bundles with a game, as the DualShock 3 is meant to replace them.

For your information, the SIXAXIS corresponds to motion detection. The DUALSHOCK3, which is newer, allows for "Vibration + SIXAXIS." So the choice is quickly made: DUALSHOCK3... equals vibration and motion detection.

One vibrates, and the other does not.

When you play certain video games with the sixaxis controller, tilting it forward and backward or side to side affects the character and vehicle you control, similar to the Wii. For example, in the game Tomb Raider Underworld, when Lara Croft walks across a beam, you must keep her balanced by manipulating the controller; if she tilts to the right, you compensate by tilting the controller to the left. Hello, the DualShock vibrates and there are 2 types of Sixaxis, one that vibrates and the other that does not, but they detect motion unlike the DualShock. For info, it is possible to find Sixaxis 3 to 4 times cheaper on the Hong Kong eBay site, and they work very well. Cheers and enjoy your games!

sixaxis is the failed copy of the Wii remote... DualShock is better.
