Hello,
I accidentally formatted my Iomega multimedia hard drive; since then I can't open it when I connect it to the TV.
I think that formatting it caused an important folder to disappear...
Which one?
How can I recover it?
Can someone provide me with information?
Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 5.0

Indeed, by formatting your external multimedia hard drive, you also deleted the system files that allowed you to manage your multimedia content directly on a TV.
You will therefore need to find them on the internet and copy them back to your hard drive.
The difficulty will be in locating them. Probably on the publisher's website ;) -
retrieving system files, okay; thank you.
what types of files? -
I'm not really sure, but it's a folder named "System" or something like that containing a few files that are actually a program that runs automatically when you plug your external hard drive into the TV, a bit like a very lightweight operating system.

To everyone,
here is the procedure if you have formatted your Iomega screenplay and it no longer works as a multimedia player and only as a hard drive.

reinstall the firmware using this link, from a Windows system. Don't forget to back up first.
then you just need to reformat the fourth small partition named "untitled" in Mac OS Extended format via Disk Utility.
