VLC Video Display and Separate VLC Player

Hello,
On VLC Player, I used to be able to display the video in a separate window (which I would make full screen on my screen 1) and the player itself (where I would "control" the video from screen 2 without showing the mouse and the player).
But since then, I no longer remember how to do that. Could someone enlighten me?
