I bought some jewelry for my daughter at low prices and the delivery person is asking me for 20€ in customs fees.. for me this site is a scam.

I've ordered several times from Mini(and Light)inthebox, without any problem, without any customs fees, and the quality depends on the item (like everywhere else)... I'm used to ordering from Asian sites, so I can tell you that a month is manageable. Once, one of my orders took 6 months to arrive, not because of the site, but because of the French post, as responsive as a mussel. And for those who can't reach them, it seems surprising, they've always replied (in English) to my questions. Explain yourself in English, maybe you'll have a better chance of getting a response.

I ORDERED IPOD 4 CASES a few months ago, even though it took them 2 months to arrive at my place, I wear them all the time and I haven't had any breakage, nothing; this site is reliable (if you don't go over 15 euros, the customs fees hit hard) anyway, all that to say this site is great!

I received my USB keys and MMC card reader after 16 days of waiting, and they work very well.

I have already placed 2 orders: the first one I received after 3 weeks with a car charger for the DS that burned out on the first use (modest price). I sent an email and they responded very quickly and told me they would send me another one (I’m waiting, the shipment is in progress). The second order was for a Wii controller and charger: I also ended up with 7.88 in customs fees and I have the impression that either the controller or the charger doesn’t work, I need to look into that.... However, for responses to your emails, you absolutely have to check for yourself in the after-sales questions (there are responses but we are not necessarily notified in our email!! Well, for now I still haven't received my package, but then again, it's only been 24 days and according to some people I can wait 7 weeks, so I shouldn't be in a hurry. Plus, I'm scared about the customs fees because what I ordered (iPad 2 case) isn't cheap.

I ordered a simple product (cable tester); it still hasn't arrived after exactly 30 days but the credit card amount was charged for the "supposed" shipment (unverifiable, 2 days later). Worse, the site is a nightmare for contacting customer service; to date, I haven't been able to reach them.
As for the carrier (Bulkxxx), it has nothing to do with the well-known carriers advertised in France (DHL, UPS).
I absolutely and definitively do not recommend this site.

I strongly discourage this scam site. I placed two orders; the first one arrived after a month and a half of waiting, and the second one has been more than two months with still nothing. Thankfully, I paid with PayPal, which just informed me that I will be refunded.
It's up to you to decide.
