Watch DVD with FreeBox Revolution?

It's still a beautiful sea... this Revolution. I've had it since day one, and I've never been able to read a DVD. What a shame!!!!!

I have the same problem with DVDs from the Montparnasse editions.
Playback on the Freebox player (up to date) didn't work with the DVD option: ejection ++
I had the bizarre idea to choose "play a Blu-ray disc" and I inserted my DVD: it worked (after one ejection of the disc but I insisted once more)
For reference, on my iMac + Yosemite and VLC up to date: from VLC, open a disc, insert the DVD into the drive, and it works well too.

Hello Taras, yes but is it their fault for being so limited? lol
My problem was resolved by exchanging the box. However, I still can't watch channel 5 and 7 due to constant freezing...

This post may be old, but I think it will help more than one person:
I had the same issue with the Freebox Révolution. You need to go not to the blu-ray section directly but to the Disc section to read a CD/DVD or a burned CD/DVD.

I tested it and it works, you need to select Freebox Player, Blu-ray Disc.
The listing appears, all you have to do is listen to music or watch a movie and to eject the disc, go to the Blu-ray
section and click on "eject disc".

Hi
take a DVD case containing a DVD
open the case
take the DVD
put it in the Freebox Revolution
the DVD starts playing.
if the DVD doesn’t start, press the free button on the remote
navigate to the disk menu
go to "play disk"
press ok
start the movie once the DVD menu has loaded.
