Hello everyone,
For the past few days, I have been unable to launch internet applications such as Windows MSN, Internet Explorer, and web pages that require a password.
It indicates that the security certificate has expired.
With Windows Live Messenger, the following errors appear: error code 80048828 and 80048412.
No application that requires a password can be opened.
Thank you for letting me know how to resolve the issue.
Best regards, Rodolphe

1) Check the date on your computer.
If the date is incorrect, you will have issues with certificates, antivirus software, etc.
2) Make sure you have installed all Windows updates (WindowsUpdate).
Among the updates provided by Microsoft, there are sometimes root certificate updates that can resolve issues.
