Dangerous articles The following dangerous articles are not allowed in luggage, whether in carry-on or checked baggage: Gas bottles. Flammable and non-flammable gases, refrigerants, and toxins such as butane, oxygen, propane, and aquaculture bottles. This includes butane (for example, for use with hair heating devices), camping gas, and kitchen torches. Flammable liquids and solids such as lighters or heating fuels, paint, matches (except for a box of matches or a refillable lighter for cigarettes as described below). Please note that passengers are only allowed to carry on them a box of matches or a refillable lighter for cigarettes. They must be carried on the person and MUST NOT be in carry-on or checked baggage. Disposable lighters are not allowed. Poisons such as insecticides, herbicides, arsenic, and cyanide. Radioactive materials, oxidizing materials, and organic peroxides such as bleaching agents and fiberglass repair kits. Firearms and explosives. Guns, automatic weapons, cartridges, ammunition, including blank cartridges, cap guns, fireworks, flares, smoke cartridges, and explosive rockets. Note: There is an exception for competition/sport firearms and a maximum of five kilograms of ammunition (UN0012 or UN0014) that can be transported in checked baggage with the appropriate paperwork, depending on space availability, if declared at check-in and packed in a securely closed and locked box. Please note that ammunition must be packed in the passenger's checked baggage but separately from firearms. Passengers checking firearms must present themselves at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure. (see note 1 above). Infectious substances such as bacteria and viruses. Corrosive substances such as mercury, acids, alkalis, liquid batteries/cells. In addition to the above-highlighted list of dangerous articles, the following items must not be transported on board under any circumstances, whether directly on the person or in carry-on luggage: Weapons: Toy guns (plastic or metal) Slingshots, crossbows, harpoons Firearms and firearm parts Rocket pistols, starter pistols, air guns and pellet rifles Industrial nail and bolt guns Stun guns, stunning devices, and neutralizing devices Firearm-shaped lighters Sharp/bladed weapons and cutting objects: Axes, hatchets, arrows, darts Spikes, harpoons, spears, ice picks Ice skates Cleavers Kitchen utensils Knives of all lengths and machetes Ski and hiking/walking poles Razor blades and scalpels Craft tools Sabers, swords, and sword canes Scissors Hypodermic syringes (unless justified by a medical certificate) Blunt instruments: Knitting needles Sports bats Pool, snooker, and American billiard cues Lacrosse and hockey sticks Kayak and canoe paddles Fishing rods Martial arts equipment Skateboards In addition to the above-highlighted list of dangerous articles, the following items are prohibited on easyJet aircraft Explosive and flammable substances: Ammunition, explosives, and explosive devices Fuses Detonators and detonating cords Copies or imitations of explosive materials or devices Mines and other military explosives Fireworks, rockets of all kinds, and other pyrotechnic items Grenades, bombs, or smoke cartridges Any flammable liquid Spray paint cans, turpentine, and paint thinners Alcoholic beverages over 70% by volume Chemical and toxic substances: Acids and alkalis, corrosive substances, or bleaching agents Neutralizing or incapacitating sprays Radioactive materials Poisons, dangerous infectious or biological substances Fire extinguishers This list is not exhaustive Please note that passengers are in no way allowed to carry "strike anywhere" matches or disposable lighters. This applies to both carry-on and checked baggage. Transportation Conditions for Items 9.1(b) You must not include in your checked baggage fragile or perishable items, money, jewelry, precious metals, silverware, computers, electronic devices, important papers, investment securities or other valuable documents, professional documents, passports and other identification documents, or samples. Transportation Conditions for Items 9.1(c). Cargo or freight items cannot be accepted as passenger baggage. We do not transport wheelchairs with batteries that may leak (non-sealed), stretchers, non-collapsible strollers, or engines. If you have questions regarding the items you can bring or how to pack them, please contact us in advance before traveling or inquire upon your arrival at the check-in counters. Medical equipment and medications Please read section 13 above (Passengers with specific requests: medical, health, or disability) regarding the conditions under which they must be transported. Curling irons containing gas hydrocarbons On all flights, except for flights departing from and arriving in Switzerland or aircraft registered in Switzerland, only one (1) curling iron per passenger containing gas hydrocarbons may be transported in the cabin or in checked baggage, provided that: (a) the safety cover is properly installed on the heating element; and (b) the curling iron is not used on board the aircraft at any time. It is prohibited to carry gas refills on oneself or in baggage, whether in carry-on or checked baggage, on all easyJet flights. For all flights departing from or arriving in Switzerland or for aircraft registered in Switzerland, curling irons and other devices operating with flammable gases (and/or their refills) are not allowed on board the aircraft. (1) Transport of bicycles: The bicycle must be packed in a box or a bicycle bag Only one bicycle per box or bicycle bag is allowed No other items may be transported in the bicycle box (e.g., clothes) The handlebars must be aligned with the frame The pedals must be aligned with the frame or removed Passengers traveling with bicycles are advised to check in two hours before departure. For bicycles, fees for sporting equipment must be paid. Bicycles are exempt from baggage weight allowances. (2) The transport of firearms is strictly limited. Passengers must provide valid documentation of proof of ownership and legal authorization for possession of firearms. Without such documents, firearms WILL NOT BE TRANSPORTED (see "Firearms and explosives" above)
