Audio management issue asus n73

Hello, I bought an Asus N73 laptop, but since it originally came with a lot of unnecessary software, I decided to do some cleaning. However, I may have removed too much, as now I can no longer use the fn+(f10;f11;f12) keys or the multimedia keys to manage the sound. I would like to know if anyone has a solution to my problem, as I don't remember which software I deleted.

I have a similar issue with my ASUS N73S. When I turn on my computer, the volume goes to maximum. When I try to increase it with the buttons on the side, one press automatically sets the sound to maximum! This is quite annoying.

I uninstalled the ATK package and reinstalled the one from the ASUS site mentioned above, but it's still the same.

Do you have any idea what this could be related to, a setting or something else? Thank you for responding.

Hello, I have the same problem as David, can you help me?

I can't reactivate the small square keys on the left side of my Asus N73SV keyboard that allow me to easily and quickly increase, decrease, or mute the sound on the PC.

(If you go to the ASUS website, you will be able to see the laptop and see which keys I am talking about)

It's the same when I press fn and then F10, F11, or F12, it doesn't work anymore.

You need to uninstall the ATK Package from your PC and reinstall the one provided on the Asus website. That's how I solved my problem.

Or else, go to Programs and Features -> right-click on ATK Package -> Repair and restart the computer.
      And it works again!

Hello, for those who have the same problem, I managed to solve it, please go to this site:

    https://www.asus.com/en/#download

    In "Utilities" look for:

Description ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities
    File size
    8.01 (MBytes) 2010.11.04 Update
    Download from
    Global (DLM) Global P2P

Click on "Global", install, and restart the computer.

Hello. Thanks for the link! I'm really hopeless with computers; once I download the folder, do I need to extract it using a program like WinZip? And what is the name of the file to install?
      Thank you very much.

I also had the same problem. I had to first uninstall the ATK driver and then reinstall it. Now all the keys are working for me.
