The backspace key is not working anymore.

Hello, my Backspace key has not been working for a few days.
I found a solution online that involves making a change in the Tools tab of Word. But I don't have access to that Tools tab; it is grayed out in my version of Wordpad.
Please help me fix this problem.

Yes, I admit it, but it's really annoying to always have to highlight and delete. I don't understand why I would have a version of WordPad that differs from others since many succeed with the most cited method on the forums.

Have you tried with other keyboards? Sometimes it's the key that malfunctions.

Well, at worst use delete, it's not the same because it removes the next character but it seems more convenient than your tweaks!
