The hash key

Hello,

Logically, my brand new Xperia X8 is asking me to enter my PIN code upon opening. The problem is that my PIN code includes a hash sign and the shortcut keyboard that appears doesn't have one, so I can't get any further, it's driving me crazy. Does anyone have a solution?

Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 533.19.4

A PIN code with a hashtag?! Is that possible?!

comment avez-vous fait et sur quel mobile avez-vous créé ce code PIN ? Car normalement, on vous dit bien que le code PIN ne peut être que composé de chiffres.

It's a code I've been carrying around for three or four phones, and transferring it from one to another has never caused me a problem until now. I must have created it on a Nokia about 7 or 8 years ago. I wouldn't mind changing it, but I would still like to recover the data, especially the contacts. In any case, the problem is not discussed anywhere in the manual, and I was never told that special characters were prohibited in PIN codes. In the meantime, I don't have a phone... and it's frustrating...

Indeed, on a touchscreen, the hashtag does not appear when the PIN code is incorrect, unfortunately for you.

I think I’ve found a simple solution to my problem that might also help others: I’m just going to change my PIN code on my old phone before transferring it to the new one. I wonder why I didn’t think of this sooner!
