Hello,
For a few days now, there has been an ugly black banner at the top of the Google page, with different options, accelerators, etc...
Do you know how we can remove it?
Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 8.0

It's normal, it's the Google menu bar that has changed today ;-) It's not installed on the computer in any way.

Hi Tang
No, I've never tampered with the Google wallpaper function.
It looks more like a toolbar, but I don't see how to remove it.
See you later

No, from what I saw, it was integrated into the page. Have you tried switching to the Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browser to see if it does the same?

I don't really like Mozilla, I'm too used to Google, and I don't like Chrome either.
I'm going to try uninstalling Google and then reinstalling it afterwards.

Lol, you understood everything...
You're mixing up all the terms, let me translate with words you will understand:
"I don't really like Renault, I'm too used to Peugeot, and I don't like the 206 either.
I'm going to try to uninstall Peugeot and reinstall it afterwards."
You're confusing brands, products, and programs...

-> What's the relationship?
You know, Firefox replaces the piece of junk that is Internet Explorer, it’s not going to get rid of Google...

Just because you don't like the solution doesn't mean you should give it a -1, it's only when it's useless that you should do that...

As the gentleman explained very rightly three days ago: it's the Google menu bar, and you can't change anything about it.
The color of this menu bar changes depending on your Google settings (the theme you choose) and your browser (by default: white on black background with Chrome, blue on white background with IE).
That said, unless you're staring at the Google search page all day long, I wonder what could be bothering you so much.
Before recommending to disable plugins, install Firefox, or scrub the screen with a sponge,... it would be good to try to understand a bit :-)

Are you doing this on purpose here? It's not coming from your browser... oh dear oh dear

Indeed, it's ugly but it's Google that has just decided to impose a black bar at the top of the page:

The solution would be to use Greasemonkey with the following script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/105723

Well, it's like everything: when you see a car (not to mention a woman), you think to yourself: how ugly it is! And then, you get used to it...
