Hello,
here is the error message
"the amount of system memory has changed.
If you did not change your memory...
To resolve this issue, try to reseat the memory. "
I have three possible choices:
-continue
-run the setup utility
-run onboard diagnostic

What should I do please?

    Good evening,

    The BIOS considers that at some point, the memory capacity has changed compared to what it was before, which is why it displays this message. If you have indeed increased the memory by adding a RAM stick, this message is perfectly normal and in this case, choose "Continue" for the BIOS to take the new configuration into account.

    If this is not the case, the advice I can give you is to turn off your computer, then at the back, try to access the memory access panel (which is held by a small screw). Then check that a RAM stick is not loose; if necessary, remove them and then put them back in (but without forcing...). Then turn it back on. It is possible that one of the sticks is defective, but I think this would trigger a different error message with several small beeps at the beginning.

      Hello, I actually have a second computer of the same model and it has something extra compared to this one. There's just "Samsung" written on it and then two lines of letters and numbers with a barcode. On the cartridge, there are 4 black chips about 1 cm square.
      When I pressed the power button, some lights turned on but everything went off 3 seconds later!! So I took this stick that was in the other computer of the same model (which is broken) and put it in the computer that wasn't turning on (it didn't have a stick like that) and that's when it turned on and displayed this message!

    Fortunately, you mention everything that has been done on the microphone....

    I think the memory stick you installed has a different capacity than the one that was originally there. Hoping that the 2 microphones are at the same technical level (BIOS/Firmware), meaning that the stick from the other microphone can work correctly on the first one, you can select "Continue" so that the BIOS takes this new configuration into account, hoping that it works.

      At first, there was no RAM stick in my computer, well, there was an empty slot, and it was by putting in the other stick that it was able to turn on.
      Will the data be lost if I continue?

    No, there is nothing to worry about regarding the data on the hard drive, and I hope that this memory stick can initialize the micro (I hope for you that it is not defective....).

    You can therefore proceed with "Continue".
