Transcontinental dvd player ph7000s2

My Transcontinents PH70000S2 DVD player doesn't read current divx files but does read older ones (2 to 3 years old). I went to the Technilog website to download a codec but couldn't find anything regarding this player. Could someone help me solve my problem? Thank you in advance.

Hello, my uncle has the same player as you but the problem is that he lost the manual. Can you tell me which formats the player reads because some burned DVDs or CDs don't work?
