Hello, why is my black Beats by Dre Studio crackling in the left ear?
Thank you.
Thank you.

The answer is actually simple: it’s junk!
Personally, I bought one last year: it started crackling after 3 months.
Fortunately, FNAC was able to exchange it for me.... twice!!!!
So I ended up with 3 copies that ALL started crackling within a 3-month period.
And yet I used them a maximum of 1 hour/day, on 3 different devices (iPod Classic / iPhone / Archos 5) without maxing out the volume to break them in and taking all precautions... nothing worked!
At €180 a pair, it seems to me that you can find much better and, above all, more durable!
After that, I think Beats owners can be divided into 4 categories:
- 1/4 have no problems
- 1/4 wear them around their neck instead of on their ears (to look cool)
- 1/4 have dirty ears
- 1/4 prefer to keep a headset that looks cool despite unbearable crackling.-
It's been almost a year since I've had my Beats Studio, aside from some screws starting to come loose (nothing serious), and the cable that’s fraying near the headphone, I have nothing to say about the sound quality of the headphones, considering I wear them 8 hours a day and listen to at least 1 hour of music a day ;)
Still, I really push them to the limit (break-in? I'm not familiar with that).
I use my iPhone 3GS to listen (and it's the iPhone that struggles more than the Beats :p) -

It's normal. You hear light (slight) rustling when the insulation is active and the outside noise is low.

I have the same official black studio headphones, I checked the serial number http://beatsbydre.com/verify
And exactly the same problem in the left ear
I tried on iPhone and on a computer with a certified beats audio sound card-

I also have a Beats Studio, and in fact, it often crackles when it's bumped.... when you give it a little tap, but let’s not forget that if the batteries are low, the Beats can't push the sound too high and loud, which causes it to emit crackles... because the capacity is low for the energy required... but if you want a good pair of headphones, it's better to forget the popular brand Beats and go for Bose; it's worth it even for its price because when you love sound, you don't count the cost ;-)

I've had mine for 4 months and it started crackling about 2 weeks ago. It's not loud but it's annoying so I cleaned the wires and everything was fine, no more crackling. I took the wires out and put them back in and the crackling came back, so it could be the wires, but I find it quite expensive (200 euros for my Solo HD) and I don't want to buy a new one every 4 months. Even though I've been taking HYPER GOOD CARE of it...

I have a studio and a pro, and they are definitely real. I have no issues!!! The sound is enormous! If I had to choose between the two, the pro has less bass than the studio, but has better highs and especially has much better external soundproofing. I specifically say external because with a studio, when it's turned all the way up with an iPod, people can clearly hear the music, whereas with the pro... nothing! So yes, €249 and €349 for the pro is expensive, but it's worth it. Then I also had the opportunity to buy fakes in both pro and studio, and there are different qualities (especially in studio). For €120, you can get very good quality ones that are almost identical to the real ones. Then for €60, you have a poor copy in terms of plastics, but in terms of sound, it's not too bad. And for the pro, it has very good build quality and sound, but there's just one issue with the ear cups that aren't oriented in the same direction compared to the real ones, and that's for €70. It's up to you to judge!!!

Copies are not a guarantee of quality. It's not uncommon to find ... a fake Studio case with ... just regular headphones inside (!). Real headphones, in a headset case.
Then, I can confirm the outside sound of the Studio. It's actually horrible in public transport. While some people are respectful and keep their music at an appropriate level, there are young folks ... phew, but in terms of respect, it's as if they're not even dousing us in their music with their Beats Studio ...
(and yes, I have a Beats Studio too ...)
Anyway, the Studio is made for listening to music alone, lying on your bed and all that :)

I also have this problem with my beats and I wanted to know who to contact (electrician, IT technician...) and what the repair cost is?

Hello, I bought a white Beats Solo HD headset two months ago on Le Bon Coin, and yesterday while I was listening to music, the right earbud stopped working while the left one was still playing. Since then, the sound from the right earbud doesn't work well either, and I don’t know what to do. Does anyone know what happened?

After using my Beats Solo HD for a year, I experienced a crackling issue with the right earbud. I watched the tutorial provided by Pupuxd, but in the end, I didn't need to do as much since a simple tap on the earbud (with the headset on) with a flat hand solved the problem! But if the issue persists, follow Pupuxd's tutorial; I think it's effective.

I have the Beats Executive by Dr. Dre, and to confirm all these claims, the crackling is due to my side at the on/off button. You can clearly notice that the headset crackles the moment you turn it on. There you go...
Otherwise, any advice for a better headset? ^^ -
You have fake Beats By Dr. Dre, your headphones are a counterfeit, no official headphones would do that.

Hello everyone, I have one too and I think it’s really crap for 300€. There’s a loud buzzing on the so-called left side which is actually the right side if you use the left and right balance on a PC, and the finishing quality leaves much to be desired.
But it’s true that it has good sound if you turn it up loud enough to drown out that buzzing. -
Well, you convinced me not to buy one...
For €300, we can grab some Sennheisers and avoid looking like a loser on the subway, right? -
Here is THE solution to these crackling issues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wl-G8C9OyOk
It's simple: I followed this tutorial, my Beats by Dr. Dre headphones have come back to life. -

Because simply put, Beats are trash... You people just don’t understand, seriously.. With Beats, you’re paying for the brand and not the quality! The best headphone brand is Sennheiser! I have one (DJ headphones), and I paid 200 euros for it, it’s been 6 years and it’s never had a problem..
