Hello,
Since today, (without doing anything special), my Thunderbird messaging is no longer retrieving my messages with the address xxx@laposte.net (I have 3 laposte.net addresses that I was retrieving without any problem and now Thunderbird is blocking!!?? However, I still get my messages xxx@orange.fr in Thunderbird without any issues.
I checked the settings for these 3 laposte.net accounts but nothing to report!! Strange....
Here's what is immediately written in a box when I check for new messages: "An error has occurred with the POP3 mail server. Please contact the administrator of this server or try again. The mail server pop.laposte.net responded: OK"
If I check my laposte.net boxes one by one, here’s what’s indicated at the bottom left of Thunderbird: "checking the capabilities of the mail server..." it stays displayed for a long time without anything happening!!
Lastly, I go to the laposte.net website to retrieve my messages, but it would be simpler if it was in my Thunderbird messaging!!
I’m currently scanning my PC (just in case...)
Otherwise, do you have a small idea please?

I confirm that the problem comes from the latest update of Avast to version 6 and that you need to deselect the scanning of incoming messages...
