Table in Word Solved/Closed

Question

Hello, I have a table that spans 4 pages. I do not manually insert page breaks since my table extends over several pages.

I would like the first row of my table to repeat at the top of each page. YES YES I know I can check the box (Repeat at top of each page as a header row). EXCEPT, even if that box is checked (in the table properties), I still do not have the first row repeating.

Has anyone experienced the same problem?

To make the row repetition work, you need to go to the table properties, select the "Table" tab, and then under "Text wrapping," choose "None."

Hello Etache

You should provide your Word (2003) version. We can guess it from the menu you've given.
You must have selected the entire table before activating the option.

Try this: Table / select the table /
You should see the option "Repeat on top of each page....." checked. Uncheck it.

Then to repeat the first row, you only need to select that row and then check that option.

I finally found it. First, I had to select my table, uncheck the Repeat header rows on each page box. Then, I selected only the first row and checked the Repeat header rows on each page option again. And now it works... crazy, isn't it? Long live Microsoft.

I had the same problem.
While trying to uncheck and recheck without success, like you, an idea came to me.
Before unchecking, I selected the WHOLE table, then I selected only the first row before rechecking.
In my case, that solved the problem.
