Repeat header rows

Hello,

No matter how closely I follow the instructions, my table refuses to repeat the header row across multiple pages. I select my first row to repeat, click on "Repeat header rows," then right-click, go to table properties, click on the "Row" tab, check "Repeat as header row at the top of each page," and click OK.

And yet my table does not copy the title on all my pages (even in print preview). Do you know what might be wrong?

P.S. I have Word 2016

Thank you for your help :)

Hello,

So first of all, when you click on "repeat header rows," the rest is useless, since that's what makes the “repeat at top of each page” option checked. And hopefully, you won't uncheck it!

Otherwise, I don’t know if you fully understood the purpose of this feature: it allows repeating the header row on each page when the table spans multiple pages...

So, that's my comment, without knowing more about your document...

Hello m@rina,

First of all, it is obvious that my table has several pages since that's precisely my question. Also, when you type this issue into Word's help, it indicates that we need to click on "repeat header rows" AND also check this phrase in the table properties. Unfortunately for me, these steps do not work. This forum is to help people solve their IT problems, not for "remarks" as you say.

Thank you

That's great that you already know what this forum is for! I'm impressed!

It’s been 10 years since m@rina and I have been participating in CCM; we weren’t waiting for you to explain its purpose to us...

But you know, when we respond, it can be advice, opinions, remarks, requests for clarification... and only occasionally definitive and actionable solutions!

Usually, our Canadian cousins are kinder and more courteous...

I have the answer to your problem; m@rina does too.
But you don’t deserve for us to provide it to you!
