Hello,

I received a WORD file that includes a header that repeats on each new page I create. When I try to edit the header, I click on 'edit header' and then 'different first page.' This removes the header from the first page that I want to keep, and the header from the second page that I want to remove is still there.
Do you have a solution to remove the header from the other pages and keep the one on the first page?

Thank you in advance.

    Hello

If you want a header and a footer only on the first page, and not on the other pages, then the section break is not useful.
You need to do the following from the start, in order:
    - double-click in the header
    - in the header and footer tools that activate automatically, check "different first page" in the options group
    - from there, insert the headers: only on the 1st page if you only want them on this page. You can also put a different one starting from page 2

In your case, since you had already entered the header before checking this option, the header disappears, which is normal. You just need to reinsert it

Now, the simplest for you: delete your headers and footers and start over as outlined above

Then, if you want to improve your skills in different layouts, you can read this tutorial
