connected to the network but no internet Solved

Question

Hello,

My PC connects to my company's local network, but not to the internet. Everything was working fine yesterday.
When I try to troubleshoot the issue, Windows tells me: it seems that the computer is properly configured, but the device or resource (www.microsoft.com) is not responding.

I am on Windows 7.

After struggling for a long (very long) time, it was just a box that was unchecked...

If this can help someone:

Control Panel --> Network and Internet --> Internet Options --> "Connections" tab --> Network Settings --> Check the box "Automatically detect settings".

I had the same problem.
Generally, switching from dynamic IP to static IP would solve the problem (temporarily, at least), and when the issue occurred again, I would switch back to dynamic IP. I know it's not convenient, but as long as it only happens 2 to 3 times a year...
Otherwise, on one machine this trick had no effect and I had to change the network card.
