Hello,
To access your Edimax access point, please first connect it directly to your PC via an Ethernet cable.
Please temporarily assign your network card an address of the type
192.168.2.10
255.255.255.0
Once done, you need to enter the IP address of the Edimax access point, by default: http://192.168.2.1
login:admin
pass:1234
At this point, you must define how the Edimax access point should be configured, that is to say in Access Point mode? Repeater?
ACCESS POINT MODE
In the case of Access Point mode, you just need to define the router:
AP
SSID: define a name
Security: define a WPA/WEP encryption
In this mode, the access point must be connected to your main router.
REPEATER MODE
This mode allows the access point to connect to the main wifi to propagate/extending the wifi
In principle, you just need to set the access point to Universal Repeater
- select from "Survey site" to connect to the main wifi
- set the same security as your main wifi
Please do not hesitate to contact our technical support if needed
Once the configuration is done, you can revert the IP address to the default of your ethernet card.

I configured everything, and the two modems are connected together when I check the status. However, when I connect via Ethernet to the repeater, I don't have Internet access. On the other hand, if I connect via Wi-Fi to the access point, I get Internet.
I used to have an SFR box and at that time, I managed to install an Edimax extender. I've changed my box (N6) and I'm absolutely no longer able to reinstall my repeater. Can you help me?
Thank you in advance.
