Good evening everyone,
In order to pursue a BTS SIO in work-study (formerly Computer Management), I would like to gather opinions about the Proméo training school located in Picardy (Beauvais, Senlis, and Compiègne).
If anyone knows this school, please share your thoughts and what steps need to be taken to enroll?
Excited!

Hello,
I am a student at Promeo Beauvais, currently in my last year of BTS IG!
Prof:
Aside from some issues with our English teacher, their level is quite good overall. If you're looking to push things further, the teachers will help you work on your personal projects. As for me, I wanted to delve a bit deeper into Linux OS. Today, I can say that I have a pretty good grasp of what I'm doing outside of class.
Atmosphere:
It's the group that creates the atmosphere, and this year my class is mediocre...
Equipment:
You’ll have a hard time finding a better place! Cisco in abundance!!!!

Hello Yso,
I am not a student at Proméo, but I did sign up. I can tell you that this so-called private school is messing with the candidates. They have so many (depending on the course) that they treat you like garbage.
I took a general culture test (very silly, I scored around 14) where they ask you current affairs questions like what is the origin of the singer Psy or who won the Vendée Globe, what is the capital of Iraq. There are also logical sequences, a bit of math, and spelling corrections. You will also have to describe your motivations in a 20-minute essay. However, candidates for the BTS did not have the same test as candidates for the professional license, but I believe it was similar. After that, you will wait for an endless moment (if many are applying for your course) to have an interview.
The interview is basic, like a job interview, but I advise you to do everything you can to stand out, but to be honest, I think they hire more based on appearances.
To get back to Proméo, I would NOT REALLY recommend joining. These people do not care about the candidates. I thought it was a serious school, but it's really the opposite. They don't rush to process your file even when it's urgent. I've often called them to make things progress. I went to a so-called badly frequented high school, and believe me, the staff was much more professional.
If you need any more information, feel free to ask.

It's exactly that, and you haven't seen anything yet. The tests are worthless, you're chosen or not by the section head, who doesn't really have a choice since classes need to be filled. So, you're chosen or not and after that, it gets worse. We enter a spiral where promeo is a company that trains pieces for clients. If you think they have no consideration, just wait until you're there. The trainers are mostly competent if you're lucky enough to have them in all subjects (there's often a shortage of trainers). You spend half your time in evaluations (6 grades per semester for each subject, which means one session out of two) and the "you chose the apprenticeship route" seems to be the answer to everything. In short, I don't even know how we can call this a "school."
Hello, I am currently in a BTS SIO (Promeo COMPIEGNE), and I completely agree with your statements Jen974.
The courses we are provided with come straight from Google (ranked in the top results, just to show how far it goes).
For the first time in my life, I had the test before the class. For me, it feels like taking my BTS as a private candidate, with Promeo merely acting as a hosting structure. If you happen to tarnish the reputation of this institution, it's over for you.
It's a place where only those who think like the management are allowed to express themselves, a place that only cares about the top students.
Promeo hides its BTS IG success rates by merging them with the success rates of BTS IRIS. And above all, Promeo does not keep mediocre students (hence such success rates).
This institution has changed a lot and is not like the one I knew 3 years ago (I also completed a BAC at Promeo).
You have a chance of getting your BTS by following the training at Promeo, but as for being qualified in the field of computer science, certainly not.
For reference, the success rates for BTS IG last year were barely 50%.
I don't want to influence you in any way, I'm just expressing my opinion in the hope of helping you with your choice.

Hello,
Just to say that it’s a good school and that the resources put in place for your success are more than sufficient.
I am currently at the end of my BTS SIO in Beauvais and despite some difficulties on my part in certain subjects, I felt well prepared for my exams thanks to the courses offered by Promeo.
It should be noted that there was poor communication between the national education system and Promeo, which slightly penalized us concerning this new BTS, but the fault, in my opinion, lies with the educators who do not share or share very little of their information.

No but where are you coming from? I really doubt you’ve been to promeo. Your comment is just to give them an ad they don’t deserve given how they treat people, both trainers and students. If there’s a promeo site where people are really trained properly, give it to me so I can leave the crappy Beauvais site. To finish, fake comments are prohibited but hey, all that matters is the advertising, since everything else is just a mess.
Proméo is a money-making factory that serves as a slush fund for the IUMM. Money flows out one side (apprenticeship tax, training budget...) and comes in from the other. The trainees are the least well-trained (ghost trainers, unmotivated, or even incompetent in some cases). Yet they have "street cred" and possess colossal resources. The worst part is that the state and the OPCA play along with their game to the detriment of smaller, yet more competent training centers. Absolutely to be avoided.
Indeed, if you want to obtain a diploma or a certificate without having the skills to then be operational: go ahead. The intern is cattle, it's the industrialization of training the Chinese way. The façade is beautiful but don’t go into the back room! The worst part is that companies trust them. Marketing works!
Hello,
This school is a disgrace! I strongly discourage anyone from training in such a center... as for me, I was in a Master's program there this year, and I had problems on every level with them... no support in companies, uninteresting classes (building spaghetti castles as an English class... it's unacceptable in a Master's program!), constantly absent trainers... I also encountered misogyny from some trainers (I was explicitly told word for word that I was a woman and that I should be silent...).
In short, I was failed at the end of my first year of Master's with an average of 13 without reason... it's unacceptable.
They only care about money and make a lot, a lot, a lot of money at the students' expense! Especially with the exorbitant registration fees!
Let's just say that the students graduating from this school are not at all up to standard theoretically speaking.
