Install portable hard drives on desktop PC

Hello,

My laptop has definitely given up the ghost, but I would still like to recover the 2 hard drives and the DVD burner and install them on my desktop PC. I would like to know what would be the best way to do this?

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.13

    For hard drives, it's possible: you need to buy 3.5" -> 2.5" adapters to install them internally. Alternatively, you can buy a USB2 enclosure for a 2.5" drive.
    As for the DVD burner, it might be possible with a USB2 enclosure, but it's not certain.
