V Smile console - Controllers not recognized

Hello,

I've had a V-smile console for quite a while now, and I have no complaints about it.

For Saint Nicholas, my son is receiving a V-smile Motion game. As stated on the packaging, it is indeed compatible with all home consoles (I got confirmation from the V-smile technical service this afternoon).

The problem: when we plugged in the V-smile Motion game, it started, but the 2 controllers were not recognized. At first, we thought it might be some sort of incompatibility, but we quickly lost hope when we launched an old game and the controllers didn’t respond either… even though they were working 5 minutes before.

At V-smile customer service, they are asking me to send the console back at my expense + 30 euros... It would be cheaper for me to buy a used one, but I am sure the problem can be easily fixed.

I have already searched quite a bit online without a satisfactory answer. In some places, they mention doing a reset of the console, but I don’t have a reset button on the back of mine. Is there a way to reset it in another way? (removing a battery on the board, or connecting 2 connectors together?)

    Good evening,

    I just bought a vsmile at a garage sale and I'm having the same problem; the controller does not respond, it doesn't turn on either.
    Since I don't know how to use this machine, I wonder what could be going on.
    My batteries aren't new and I don't have an adapter, maybe that's all it is. What do you think?

    I found a tip to solve some of the issues related to the bug. It's about doing a "reset" of the console. On the newer model of the console, the button is located next to the battery compartment. For the older model, like mine, you have to unscrew the entire lower cover. Some screws are visible, but some are hidden under the rubber feet. Then it’s just a matter of taking a flat screwdriver and making contact between the two small terminals identified. Of course, this should be done with the batteries and power supply removed. I did a little customization by drilling the casing at the level of these two small terminals just in case for future crashes.

    In fact, after thorough analysis, it appears that this problem arose after using the drawing studio. This game uses a drawing tablet, which is still working, even with the other games. However, for the 2 controllers I already have, there is no response from the console, whether I connect them after starting the game, before, or any other possibility...
