Controllers not recognized in Black Ops

Hello, I can get my BigBen Interactive Multipad controller recognized by my PC, but once I get to COD: Black Ops, the "controller" option is grayed out.
How can I fix this issue, please?

    Hello, I had exactly the same problem as you.
    I tried everything, but I couldn't play with the controller :( .
    Afterwards, I got the Xbox controller and now the game works very well with it.
    Apparently and unfortunately, it's the only controller compatible with COD: Black Ops.

    Anyway, if you found another solution, I'd love to hear it :D !

    It's a game for Windows Live that is only compatible with the Windows 360 controller; besides, playing a PC FPS with a controller doesn't make any sense.

      You mean that if we buy an Xbox 360 controller with a USB cable, we can plug it into the computer and COD Black Ops will recognize it??

    cherche sur google xinputemu c'est un émulateur de manette xbox 360 ça fonctionne à merveille, voilà les instructions (en anglais)

    Installation :
    Extrayez xinput1_3.dll, le fichier xbox360cemu.ini dans le répertoire de l'exécutable du jeu.
    Renommez la DLL si nécessaire
    Extrayez le fichier dinput8.dll dans le répertoire de l'exécutable du jeu si vous souhaitez cacher votre manette du jeu.
    **NE REMPLACEZ PAS LES FICHIERS SYSTÈME**

    Désinstallation :
    Supprimez xbox360cemu.ini, le fichier xinput1_3.dll.

    Utilisation :
    Lorsque le jeu démarre, vous devriez entendre un bip de votre enceinte PC.
    Si vous n'avez pas d'enceinte PC, vous ne pourrez peut-être pas entendre le bip, mais cela fonctionnera quand même.
    Jouez au jeu normalement.

    Hello, it's also my problem. My PC controller is not recognized on Black Ops. But it's better when I connect my Xbox 360 controller, which is not recognized at all by my PC.
    PS: I connect it with the USB charging cable of the battery, but it doesn't work. Drivers?

    Hello,
    I'm tired of using the keyboard on PC. If I plug in an Xbox 360 controller, will I be able to play with it? I have an old controller, and when I try it and go to "settings" then "controls", the "controller" option is grayed out.

    PS: my old controller works with other games that are not FPS.
