Hello everyone, as you guessed, I have a problem with these adapters.
I feel like I've tried absolutely everything and it's becoming very frustrating; I'm starting to wonder if throwing them out the window will make them work better =) .
The site has software called eplug station that "helps" (^^) to recognize the powerline adapters. The thing is, it doesn't work as well as it should...
I want to connect one adapter to my Neufbox and the other to my Xbox so I can play online.
The adapters only worked when they were on the same power strip, and of course, ever since I separated them, they won't respond at all =)
Feel free to ask me any questions if you need more information.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
Don't you have a reset button on each of the powerline adapters? Press these buttons one after the other...
Are you in a house or an apartment?
In very rare cases, it may happen that in apartments, the electrical outlets in different rooms are not on the same "circuit" so they're not on the same electrical "supply": it won't work, for sure....
Hang in there, every problem has a solution :) -
Hello ...... you said earlier that you plugged the 2 adapters into the same power strip .....
now it works ..... normal.
but if you move one to another room, it doesn't work anymore .... that's normal too ....
actually, if it's a power strip with a surge protector ..... and the signal is a "parasite"
you need to plug both into THE WALL SOCKET ......
or into the same power strip ...... and then it works.-

Hello,
I know the topic is a bit old, but I'm giving it a try anyway!
I have Hercules 200 e-plugs, purchased a little over a year ago, never used before (an alternative was found in the meantime) and now I would like to use them.
However, there's a problem: even when connected to the same power strip, they can't be found...
Any idea? Are they dead even though they've never been used?

Hello, I have a two-story house and I set up a Philips TV at one end of the house on the ground floor and my Orange box at the other end of the house on the upper floor, and the connection (the link) establishes itself when it feels like it: sometimes "yes," sometimes "no." When it works, it works perfectly. My house is only 10 years old, so the installation is clean and recent. The goal was to have Net TV and images from my PC. We have done numerous tests with my son and we think that the equipment in question (ePlug 200 from Hercules) may not be powerful enough given the size of the installation. So I will return it to the seller to possibly get a more powerful brand (if one exists?).
Best regards. -
Thank you for helping me with my problem.
So yes, I used the reset button and the 3 little LEDs were green when the adapters were on the same power strip, but now in each room, the LED that the line passes through the outlet is red for both.
And I'm in an apartment, so I hope I'm not part of that very rare case... =) -
It is still necessary to have multiple wall sockets in the same corner, which is rare in new homes.
-
The light should be green, or at worst, orange, but red is a sign of a very bad electrical installation (at least for the PLC).
-
It seems to me that the manual says that the orange light corresponds to a low internet speed, which is therefore not necessarily correlated with the electrical network (someone with 1 Mbps of speed and 3 powerline adapters will necessarily be in orange - since the signal is divided by three - regardless of the quality of the electrical installation).

Try to plug your 2 CPLs into power outlets as close to each other as possible, even if it's in a kitchen or bathroom!
As close to each other as possible in 2 different power outlets. -
So I put the Neufbox in the room next to mine and the adapters are working! One less problem =)
Now the problem is that I want to keep the Neufbox in my living room to have the TV package and the Xbox Live in my room (that's why I bought the adapters ^^) -
UP ! I would like to know if your problem has been resolved! Mine is a bit similar to yours, I have a Dartybox, the first powerline adapter is plugged into the wall, the RJ45 is connected to the box and the box is connected to the powerline adapter. In the bedroom, the powerline adapter is on the wall, the RJ45 is connected to the Xbox, and a power strip is connected to the powerline adapter. The "HIC" is that when I plug my PC into the Ethernet in my bedroom, it works perfectly, but when it's on the Xbox, there's no network? WTF lol?! I'm losing patience, so if anyone has a solution, I've tried almost everything ;)
-
So Opie78, yes my problem is more or less resolved. I plugged the powerline adapters into separate wall sockets and I had to "synchronize" the adapter in my bedroom with the one in my living room. I occasionally experience disconnections but they are rare, and the network is not very fast.
Have you tried without the power strip connected to your powerline adapter and the network settings on your Xbox? -
So I just hung up with Darty. My powerline adapters are working perfectly, they detect my network well, I even tried without the power strip but nothing. I also entered my network settings manually but still nothing T_T! So now, I'm out of solutions. They detect my Xbox via Ethernet but my "XBL connection test" is a total failure with the network.

Hello, my powerline adapters are both on power strips and they are not in the same room. The middle indicator light (the one with the outlet symbol) is red, while the others are green, and yet Xbox Live works perfectly the first time, no settings to change. I live in an apartment.
Good luck to everyone. -
So, the middle light should be red? That's my case, but my Orange TV isn't working. For a few weeks, it has only been picking up certain channels. I'm in the process of reinstalling, but it can't "establish the connection between the decoder and the Livebox."
