Hello,
I have an Acer ASPIRE 7720ZG PC and I would like to boot from a Windows 7 installation CD at startup.
In the BIOS (F2 at startup), I set "USB CD-ROM" at the top of the list and saved it, but it still doesn't work.
My questions are as follows:
- Is there anything else to do or check?
- Can any CD be booted at startup? (perhaps I don't have a compatible version of Windows 7)
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.5.7

I did it:
I first had to enable the F12 function in the main menu (F2 at startup).
Then, by restarting, I was able to press F12 to choose to boot from the CD-ROM drive.
Finally, I reinstalled Windows 7 and recovered my files.
Thank you all. -
Hello,
Is it an upgrade of 7 or a full version? -
Hello,
first of all, for Seven it's not a CD but a DVD, and if it's original it should boot.
If it's a copy, a burnt DVD, it remains to be seen if the ISO file was burned with the correct procedure.

Hello Zezinho71
I put "USB CD-ROM"
This is certainly not USB to boot from a CD or DVD.
There must be another choice to make.
Otherwise, in the BIOS, MAIN, you should have a line to enable the F12 key (to be set to ENABLED) which will prevent you from having to enter the BIOS to change the boot order by pressing it at startup with your DVD.
