My LG TV remote control is not working anymore.

Good evening, I also have a similar issue: the menu appears by itself, the input selection changes on its own, and very often the remote control doesn't respond anymore. But when I take out the batteries, the problem persists. It's really annoying, especially since everything was working fine until last night. Was it the same for you? Did the universal remote solve everything?

Are you sure that even after removing the batteries from the remote, it still worked? Because I can’t understand how, without batteries, the remote could emit any sort of interference. A friend of mine who repairs TVs thinks that it's more likely a faulty control board. So that's why I would like to be sure that you actually removed the batteries from the remote and that it still worked afterwards and that it worked with a universal remote.

What I said afterwards is that the remote control solved my problem... but since it's clearly not the same as yours, I don't know??...

Maybe you should trust your repairman friend, rather than someone who turns to a forum because they don't know anything about it!

Maybe you should just try buying a universal remote, giving it a shot, and if it doesn't work, return it to the store (if that's possible without damaging the package when opening it)
