the power button on my LG remote control is not working anymore

Hello, for the past two days, I've been having a lot of trouble turning my LG television on and off with its remote control. No matter how much I press the power button, nothing happens; sometimes it reacts after about a minute. I've obviously changed the batteries, but it doesn't help (by the way, I have the same problem with a Toshiba TV and its remote). Is it a virus? (laughs) What should I do? Is it the remote control or the television? Thank you for your answers.

Hello It's often the button that is "worn out" To check, take a digital camera, hold the telephoto lens right in front of the lens and press all the buttons; if it works except for M/A, that's indeed the issue.

Hello, thank you for your response, but that's exactly what's happening, everything works except M/A, is it the remote control or the TV in this case?? (a question that may seem silly but I don't get it at all)

I didn't quite get the two left ones?? However, I don't have any rubber buttons except on the remote, but there are no problems except for the M/A. To sum up, if I understood correctly, I need to call a repairman, right?? Thanks for your help.

Ok, I understand this time I’m ordering a universal remote control because I have another Toshiba TV; the remote has the same issue. Thanks again for your valuable help. By the way, I have one more question: is it guaranteed for 2 years with the TV, I think? I bought it at FNAC, and it hasn’t been 2 years, so I’m going to give it a try!! Thanks again.
