Hello,

I've already done a lot of research on Google and your site, but I haven't found any solutions.
My problem is that I have large variations in speed: I am in a student residence, I am subscribed to Free, and I have the latest version of the Freebox. I've noticed that in the evening, after classes, my speed drops significantly. I suspect that someone is hacking my Wi-Fi. I was wondering if you know of any software to check if my Wi-Fi is hacked and, if so, how to get rid of them. I already know the software "airsnare," but it doesn't work on my PC (probably because I'm using Windows 7).

So if you have any ideas, please let me know.

Start by choosing a WPA2 encryption key (if not already done).

Then AirSnare is a good solution to know in real-time who is squatting your connection, but it can be a bit too technical for an individual. Instead, try the Achiwa software, which is much simpler, but you'll achieve the same result. And it works on Windows 7.

You can't kick them off because they're connected to the free wifi, which means they're subscribed to Free and it allows them to connect to other boxes!!
