Hello, my name is Julie, and I live in Mont de Marsan in the Landes.
I am a student, and until now, I was using the WIFI from home (I have an MSI VR601 laptop and a NeufBox, which is about 1 year old; back then, Neuf was not yet merged with SFR).
I went on vacation to the coast, and when I turned on my computer, I noticed there was a LiveBox nearby. The network was labeled "Secure," but I have friends who are with Orange and manage to "tap into" their neighbor's WIFI. These people told me that on each network, there was a part that was private and another that was public... So I'm a bit lost and couldn't connect to the internet during the holidays.
The thing is, I'm going to Tarbes to continue my studies starting this fall, and I'm not going to get a second box.
So, I'd like to know how I can connect to a Box like a LiveBox (with SFR, there's a HotSpot, so I think I could connect to a nearby NeufBox... unless its network also needs to be unsecured...)

The easiest one, you ask your neighbor for their Wi-Fi settings and you give them 10€ a month to compensate.
The other one is to ask a friend who is with Free or Neuf for their login credentials (their username and password). Alright, they have to trust you.
And if you detect a Free or Neuf network from your neighbor (which will actually be a hotspot from an individual), then you can connect by entering the credentials that your friends gave you.
For the mobile key, if you’re going to study, I recommend getting a box directly... considering the price and speed it offers...
As for the Wi-Fi at McDonald's... it's good but still, giving passwords and logins on a network like that, no way! And then the connection speed... it's faster than a 56K ^^
