Hello,
Hello,
What to do? On my desktop equipped with Win7 ...
The wireless keyboard and the wired keyboard are not working.
I want to enter the BIOS to check if the function is disabled.
I can use the computer with the virtual keyboard, but when I restart, this virtual keyboard has disappeared, of course.
I don't know the command lines that could help me.
Your responses will be welcome.
Thank you.
Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.12

Hello,
it's not possible, the BIOS is the first thing that loads on a PC, the virtual keyboard loads under Windows (or any OS), which happens afterwards.
You must have a keyboard, in PS/2 if the USB function is disabled...

Hello,
I think that without the keyboard it is impossible to access the BIOS
But normally, even if the keyboard function is disabled, you should be able to access it with the F2 key
Otherwise, try other keyboards with different outputs (USB, PS...) -
Hello,
You can always try with an old PS/2 keyboard you found.
Is your problem recent? Is your computer old?

Good evening and thanks to everyone.
I found an old keyboard; it works.
I went into the BIOS to the peripheral menu section.
I didn't find a line for the keyboard ... to check the activation. I didn't look elsewhere because I can't interpret what I see ...
In response to Filo81, all the keys are inoperative.
The problem is very recent, from this morning, and the computer is 3 months old (in response to Krazykat's request). The BIOS version is P01-A1 ...
I will have it checked why the USB is not working anymore; the wireless keyboard has new batteries ... this second keyboard is "brand new" ... it was delivered with the win7 machine...
(when I go to see the technician).
Best regards,

Hello,
the option you need to find to activate the USB should have a name like:
USB devices
Legacy USB support
and change from disabled to enabled.

Good evening,
I have performed the check, USB is indeed enabled.
I connected the (new) keyboard to another machine, apparently the computer does not detect it. It must be defective!
Thank you for the help you provided me.
The old keyboard works perfectly...
Best regards.
