unable to open itunes Solved

Question

Hello,

I just bought an iPod.
To be able to load music onto it, I apparently have to go through iTunes.
Problem: when I install iTunes using the provided CD (just like when I download it from the Apple website), I then cannot open it.

Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem.  Santa Claus came a week early and gave me an IPOD.  I can't play iTunes, and there's still a problem with Quicktime.   Help!

The solution I ultimately found at Apple, after following your advice, unfortunately without positive results, is that you need to eradicate the first download attempt of iTunes from the computer and also absolutely remove "QuickTime" by going through "search" "all files and all folders", which is automatically reinstalled with iTunes, and then there are no problems, it works by itself. I allow myself to share this with you because I know that many new iPod owners have this problem Thank you again for your help Best regards

I fixed this problem by just repairing Quietiem and that solved everything :P

Well, I can't even uninstall QuickTime (unrecoverable error during installation) I'm devastated :( If someone can help me... Thank you in advance.

Great, I was able to solve this problem thanks to Feradisou's advice.
However, there is still another small issue, that of the sound, which means that when I play a song, it skips several times.
What can I do, thanks in advance and thank you again.

Hello! I just received an iPod Touch. I downloaded the latest version of iTunes, but I can't open it; I get a message saying "itunesSetup.exe is not a valid win32 application." Also, the iTouch seems to be locked as well. Can someone help me solve my problem? Thank you in advance.

Good evening, I have therefore followed the procedures diligently: uninstalling the programs on my PC (QuickTime + iTunes), followed by a search and removal of residual files.
Then, I downloaded iTunes via telecharger.com. I reinstalled it and then removed QuickTime + residual QuickTime files again.
When launching iTunes, it indicated that QuickTime was needed to run iTunes. So I downloaded QuickTime alone and after that and a few beers, I launched iTunes and there it is, as usual: the program starts for a millisecond and disappears. Anyway, I'm having bad luck and I have nothing to drink to stay zen ))

Thank you for all your efforts, but as far as I'm concerned, nothing works and I still haven't understood why iTunes stopped working out of the blue.

Good evening, problem solved by... downloading/installing the previous versions of iTunes and QuickTime. It just goes to show that the best soups are made in old pots )) Thank you again for this post which will surely be helpful to many, I suppose.

Hello everyone! I bought an iPhone today, and I encountered quite a few difficulties installing iTunes and QuickTime, but I managed to get it done.
Once these obstacles were overcome, I was excited to see that iTunes crashes literally on launch and wants to send an error report to Microsoft.
QuickTime, on the other hand, tells me "QuickTime requires Windows 2000 or later."
Yet I'm using XP!
