Hello, following a request at Orange to unlock my ku990I, I received
via email a PDF file with this.
for the network unlock of your LG
Hello,
The network unlock request for your LG serial number: ************ has been processed.
We kindly ask you to now perform the following steps on your mobile:
- Remove the SIM card, replace the battery, and turn on the mobile
- Dial on the keypad: 2945#*20001#
- Select "Unlock USIM". This message indicates "SIM card unlocking"
- Then select "Network Lock". This message indicates "network unlocking"
A message appears in English "You are about to SIM unlock your phone. Entering the unlock code
incorrectly 10 times will result in the permanent lock of your phone. Continue?". This message indicates that
you have 10 attempts available; after that, the mobile will be permanently locked.
- Click "OK" to continue
- Enter the code 3748693269598167 and validate
A new message appears in English "Reenter the unlock code". This message asks you to enter
the unlock code again.
- Enter the code 3748693269598167 again and validate by pressing "OK"
Once the operation is completed, your mobile phone will display "Your phone is unlocked". Click "OK".
Your mobile is unlocked.
For any further information, visit www.orange.fr, Mobile tab, "My
account" section, or contact your Mobile customer service.
But the problem is that I can't use the # or * keys. Is there anyone who has had the problem and can tell me what I should do?
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.5.10

Well, I found the code to enter (Unlock USIM)
it wasn't (2945#*20001#) but 2945#*990#
to access the configuration, there's this code 3845#*990#

Personally, these codes didn't work for me, but I used this site http://www.debloquer-un-lg.com and it worked perfectly! There you go, if it can help someone..

For the issue with displaying the pound sign and the star, you need to press both keys on the right side of the phone at the same time.

It's an ad for a paid website, so you might as well go flash it yourself or go to a store.
When I turn on my LG, it asks me for a SIM card and I can't do anything without it, not even access the keyboard or anything else... And when I put my SIM card in, it says it's not compatible, so please what should I do?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Yes, I've had the phone for just over a year. The problem I'm facing is that I'd like to unlock it for all operators so that later I can sell it when I acquire another one.
I made the request to Orange (my operator), who sent me a PDF file with the steps to follow as you can see a bit above.
I'm following the instructions (turn off the phone, remove the SIM card, turn it back on, enter the code (2945#*20001#), but nothing happens; my phone returns an emergency number.
Online, I managed to get a similar code that gave me a menu with options (phone info, reset the phone, and plenty of other info), but nothing to unlock (Unlock USIM), so I'm looking for this famous code to input the information provided by my operator.
I will still reach out to Orange to emphasize that the code doesn't work.
Thank you for your help, and I'm open to any information...
Thanks again, Rico.
