Text that exits the cell in Word

Hello,

I created a table in Word. One cell is causing me trouble.
Normally, when you write inside the cell and reach its right edge, the text automatically moves underneath and so on.

My problem is that the text keeps going, there’s no return below, the text disappears gradually to the right.

What should I do?
I searched the forums, they talk about external indent but I tried that and it didn't change anything.

Thank you for your help.

    Hello,

    Position yourself in the cell, but from the Format menu, Paragraph, check the value of the right indent. It must not be negative.

    Hello,

    Another idea: does your text start correctly on the left side of the cell? If not, check if you might have a centered or right tab outside the cell margins. You should be able to see if there are any tab stops on the ruler.
    Also, show the formatting marks by clicking on ¶ in the toolbar or paragraph band (Word 2007)

    I can't give you any explanations myself
    however, after testing, we notice that the problem disappears by deleting the line and recreating it from the line above.
    It might always be useful, and I can send you the result if needed.

    I cut my content (which did not appear in the sent file). I deleted the emptied line and then inserted another line, and I pasted my content back. The problem persists.

      where then I didn't understand your problem...!(it's quite possible)
      here's what I get
      but rather than patching your content, (this manipulation may keep in memory the flaw that we are not detecting) it might be better to rewrite it, or just copy the text as Argixu mentioned

    Hello

    I was testing
    When you hover over the insertion point of each cell, you see
    In the 2nd row below the Mathematical row, you have 4 columns
    In the 3rd row, 1st cell: it's one column, in the problematic cell, you are no longer in a table column
    I don't see how you did that, probably after merging columns...

    The only thing I suggest, like Vaucluse (hi there):
    you copy-paste the 2nd line which is correct just below: and you copy the text of each cell from that 3rd line into it. Then you delete that line

    It's true that I often merge in this kind of table to have a common title across several columns.

    I did as you described and it no longer overflows from the cell.

      I'm not sure if there were other solutions as it was. For merging cells in Word, if you don't start off right, it becomes a headache later on!

      For the resolved one, it's at the top right. I think...

    Hello,

    I found this answer on a forum, which easily solved this issue:

    To resolve your problem, simply switch your document from Portrait to Landscape
    Menu > Format > Page... Page tab

    Then manually adjust the right column of each table,
    and then switch back to Portrait.
