Word and the status bar that disappeared

Hello,

For some time now, the status bar in Microsoft Word has disappeared.
I've been using all the keyboard shortcuts I know, but I would still like to get that status bar back, as it was so convenient!!!!

If anyone has any ideas ......

Good evening Lola,
try this:

To display the status bar, click on Options in the Tools menu, then on the View tab, and then check the Status Bar checkbox under Show.

Hi kwartzy!!!

Actually, when I open Word, I don't even have "File, Edit, Options." There is just a place to type text, but that's it!!

Hello

here's what should solve your problem

1- Disable your antivirus
2- Click on Start - Run
3- Enter WinWord /a and validate: Word will launch
4- Close Word and reopen it from the Start Menu Microsoft Word programs

I don't know why this is happening. I have a friend to whom it happened, and since I didn't know the solution, I wanted to find out.

So in my research, I found the Word FAQ and the solution was there.

In fact, this manipulation resets Word as if you were installing it for the first time.

Disabling the antivirus is so that it doesn't show you a message saying that the Word files have been modified and that apparently you have a virus.

There you go, I hope I was clear, and if you have any other issues, I would be happy to help you.

I also encountered the same problem. Running the program after disabling the antivirus works.
However, when I restart Word from the Start menu Microsoft Word, the status bar still doesn't appear...
I am also worried that if I disable the antivirus permanently, it will leave my machine unprotected...
