Hello,

anything is possible ;-)

One of the techniques is to create a character style with the desired color and assign a keyboard shortcut to it:
- select a few words that you will color as desired
- right-click on the selection, "Styles," "Save selection as a new quick style"
- give a name to this style (Red for example)
- click on the "Modify" button and in the "Style Type" dropdown list, choose "Character"
- at the bottom, click on the "Format" button then "Shortcut key"
- type the shortcut you want to give it in the "New shortcut key" field. If it's already in use, it will be indicated. Try ALT K for example.
- if you want this shortcut to work in all future documents, leave "Normal.dotm" in "Save in." Otherwise, choose the active document.
- make sure to click on the "Assign" button before closing the dialog box.

You just need to test it afterwards...

If you want to change the color of all the text, you can modify the "Normal" style.

Hello, I often use this technique, but I wanted to know if it was possible to save this shortcut for ALL documents in general? Not just for future documents. Because for my classes, I have one document per subject, and it's annoying to have to redo everything for each document.

I am writing to you 9 years later, my classmate and I thank you very much. We use your method for our Master's 1 courses. Thank you very much.
